Our growing community has many talented young people who deserve pathways to the many upcoming opportunities in our region. I recently had the opportunity to attend the Liverpool office launch for WPC Group and NextGen Jobs. WPC Group is a leading training organisation and one of the largest employers of apprentices and trainees in Australia. Over its 40 years, WPC group has supported more than 20,000 people through apprenticeship and trainee programs and has received numerous commendations for its important work. It was great to meet with apprentices and some of WPC Group's Liverpool affiliate employers, as well as local apprentices and trainees. Apprentices and trainees are vital to Liverpool's local economy and youth employment, and I am thrilled to see more opportunities accessible to young people. I extend my congratulations to Frederick Maddern, Jim Lawrence, Nicholas Wyman and Andrew Sezonov for bringing WPC Group to Liverpool, and I look forward to seeing more new trainees and apprentices help fill the skill gaps in South West Sydney.
