About Charishma

About Charishma Main Image

Like many people in Liverpool, Charishma migrated to the area as a young girl.

She is honoured to represent the area in which she grew up, went to school and has worked in.

As the Member for Liverpool, Charishma’s focus is on balancing the growth and diversity of Liverpool's population with appropriate social, economic, cultural and physical infrastructure.

Before entering Parliament, Charishma had extensive experience working in the health sector. As an occupational therapist, Charishma understands the health and wellbeing needs of our growing community in south west Sydney, and has seen first-hand the neglect of public schools and TAFE. She has witnessed the privatisation of public assets driving up prices and reducing the quality and reliability of services. She understands that people are struggling with stagnant wages and increased cost of living.

Charishma is also a councillor on Liverpool City Council and deeply understands the importance of being connected and accessible within our community.

That’s why Charishma will be a strong local voice who will advocate for the vital services that Liverpool deserves.
