I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Milorad Vidovic, a former long-serving Liverpool City Council staff member. Milorad served Liverpool City with dedication and pride for more than 26 years, becoming a familiar and respected presence across the community through his role as a library services courier. Many would have seen him in one of the various libraries across the Liverpool network, at Civic Place or out in the community, always on the move and always carrying out his work with professionalism, reliability and kindness. Before coming to Australia in 1996, Milorad worked as a radio journalist in Belgrade and witnessed immense violence and hardship. Despite this, he remained committed to humanity, warmth and community connection. Beyond his work, he was also a respected member of the Serbian community who contributed greatly to those around him. On behalf of the people of Liverpool, I extend my sincere condolences to his wife, Mirjana; his children, Vesna and Ivan; and his grandchildren, Angelina, Kalina and Isidora. Our community is a better place for Milorad's contribution. May he rest in peace.
