I recognise The Rising Collective Boutique, an amazing social enterprise that enables skills development for local women. An initiative of Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections, The Rising Collective aims to support women from the program's business incubator by running a pop-up shop to develop their business acumen. The boutique allows women to display and sell their products at the shop all year round. That includes everything from second-hand high-end clothing and accessories to a variety of handmade items. The availability of clothing is especially helpful for women attending job interviews or in need of new outfits. The store receives support from the Sydney Community Foundation and The Office Space, and the shop space is provided by Liverpool City Council. I was delighted to visit the shop last week and chat with the store's staff. I donated some pieces that I no longer had a need for. I laud the fabulous initiative and extend my congratulations to all involved on its profound success.
