I farewell Superintendent Adam Whyte, who is taking up a new position after seven years leading the mighty Liverpool Local Police Area Command. South‑west Sydney has been home to Superintendent Whyte, having served across Liverpool, Green Valley, Wetherill Park, Cabramatta and Fairfield since joining the Police Force in 1988 at age 21, before coming back as area commander of Liverpool in 2018, which he said was a highlight of his career. As members of Parliament, we often work closely with local law enforcement to handle inquiries and work together to promote community safety. I have been fortunate to have Adam, a fantastic member of the NSW Police Force, at the helm of the Liverpool command. His ongoing dedication to the community was admirable, and he will do a similarly fantastic job in his new role running the Radio Operations Group. As the Liverpool police area command readies itself for new leadership, I look forward to welcoming the incoming superintendent, Scott Tanner, who has a fantastic reputation at his current posting in Lismore, having helped guide the Northern Rivers community.
