The impact of having a job which gives one a sense of independence and capacity can't be overstated. So, it is with immense pride and enthusiasm that I share and celebrate a groundbreaking initiative launched by Woolworths in collaboration with Fujitsu and Hope and Care. The unveiling of Mini Woolies in Denham Court marks a monumental step forward in our collective journey towards inclusivity and empowerment. Mini Woolies is designed to creating a more inclusive educational and skills training environment for individuals living with disabilities. It represents a significant step towards ensuring that every person has access to the opportunities and support they need to thrive in the workforce. Having started my working life at 16 in the supportive but tough environment of Woolworths Westfield Liverpool, I know that valuable skills like communication and problem solving will be provided in a safe and engaging space for students of the initiative to build confidence and independence. Congratulations to all who have worked to deliver this extraordinary milestone. May it serve as an influential example of what we can accomplish when we are united in our pursuit of enhancing job-readiness and equity.
