The Liverpool School Ambassador Program has been a welcome activity for bright young people across our community for over a decade, and I was so pleased to help launch the 2026 program! Ambassadors from over 15 schools in our region have the opportunity to plan and develop school improvement projects, communicate and collaborate with students from other schools, and strengthen their leadership skills. Initiatives like this are so important because they encourage young people to step forward with ideas, work together and play an active role in shaping their school communities. I had the chance to speak with some of the ambassadors about identifying common areas of need across their looks, and how they could apply different solutions based on consulting their peers and teachers. It was wonderful to see students embracing the opportunity with such enthusiasm and maturity. I was so impressed with the level of preparation and passion to make their schools better spaces for all. Thank you to all the schools that participated, and the teachers who volunteer to support the School Ambassador program. Our community is made stronger by your work.
