On 8 June I attended the launch of the Liverpool Innovation Precinct's investment prospectus, along with leaders in health, education, business and government. It was a pleasure to join Treasurer Daniel Mookhey, the member for Leppington and the member for Holsworthy to acknowledge the valuable work of the Liverpool Innovation Precinct Committee in advocating for and recognising the potential of the Liverpool area as a hub of health, education, research and innovation. The launch was an opportunity to outline my vision for Liverpool and acknowledge the once-in-a-century economic development opportunity provided by the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, including the creation of new, well‑paying jobs for residents and greater connectivity for businesses in south-west Sydney. I acknowledge the contributions of those who have worked on it over previous years, with special thanks to David Borger and Business Western Sydney for their longstanding commitment to making our region an innovation superpower.
