Earlier this month I attended the Moorebank-Liverpool District Hockey Club open day, which coincided with the reopening of the upgraded Kevin Flack Field The open day marked the beginning of the hockey season with prizes, fun activities, a jumping castle and, of course, a sausage sizzle! There were also trial games for new players to test out their hockey skills and learn more about the sport. As one of Sydney's most successful hockey clubs, Moorebank-Liverpool caters for a wide array of junior and adult teams, with many players going on to compete in state and national competitions. With the upgraded facility, the club can expand the scale of the events they host. It was great to chat with President Damon Brooks and Secretary Tan Le, as well as executive and club members about their exciting vision for the clubs' future.
