I congratulate Jayden Todoroski, an Ashcroft High School student whose success in athletics has brought great pride to all of Liverpool. Representing Bankstown Sports Athletics Club, Jayden recently delivered a sensational performance at the Australian Athletics Junior Championships in Queensland, cementing his place as one of Australia's most promising young sprinters. After claiming the under-16 200 metres State title earlier this year, Jayden went on to achieve a third‑place finish in the 100 metres, with a blistering time of 10.77 seconds, before being crowned national champion in the 200 metres, with a remarkable time of 21.47 seconds—setting a new championship record in the process. These achievements add to what has already been an exceptional season for Jayden, following earlier impressive times of 11.04 seconds in the 100 metres and 21.56 seconds in the 200 metres. Behind every result is an enormous amount of hard work, discipline and determination. To break records and win a national title at such a young age is an outstanding accomplishment. I congratulate Jayden. The Liverpool community is proud of him.
