I acknowledge the recent achievements of Guy Zangari, a former member of this place and a resident of the Liverpool electorate, who was recently awarded a papal knighthood in the Order of St Gregory the Great. A committed member of the Catholic Church and his local parish of John the Baptist in Bonnyrigg Heights, Guy was recently recognised for his commitment to the defence of religious freedom and the dignity of human life throughout his tenure in Parliament, as well his advocacy for those seeking to access places of worship during the COVID-19 pandemic. The accolade follows an earlier honour when he was invested as a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre. I recognise his recent involvement with Sydney Catholic Schools, where he serves as the manager for family wellbeing and education, following his previous career as a teacher in the Catholic school system across south-west Sydney. I extend my best wishes to Guy and the Zangari family, and I wish him well in his future endeavours as he continues to thrive in his post-parliamentary life.
