Dedicated teachers are vital to the education and development of our State's students. I was delighted to see so many of Liverpool's teachers and schools recognised at the Minister's and Secretary's Awards for Excellence earlier this month. It was great to see Liverpool Boys High School recognised for its implementation of the Take Over Two initiative, which lets students take over the classroom and explore their learning passions. The Miller Mindset initiative at Miller Public school was also lauded for its success in fostering positive student wellbeing and culture. Marsden Road Public School, where I started my schooling, was congratulated for its excellence in all elements of teaching and learning. I especially note the contribution of Dr Ken Edge, principal of Miller Technology High School, who was acknowledged for his commitment to equity and excellence through his expertise in quality teaching, diligence and unwavering integrity. I can attest to that having personally experienced Ken's passion for his students and school. I congratulate all the schools, students and teachers across New South Wales whose contributions were deservedly recognised.
