Community football clubs play a vital role in bringing our community together and fostering active lifestyles. I acknowledge the All Saints Junior Rugby League football club, which I had the pleasure of visiting earlier this month. All Saints Junior Rugby League Club was officially founded in 1972 by parents of children who attended the St Mary's Primary School in Liverpool. Over the following decades, the club grew and became increasingly successful, moving to its current location at Hillier Oval, Liverpool, in 2006. I was delighted to meet with the president of All Saints, Charlie Alam, who took on the role of leading and reinvigorating the club after some previously challenging years. I note his personal commitment to enhancing the quality of the facility, which currently requires numerous upgrades to support female teams, and provide a safer environment for young people and families. I look forward to seeing community clubs like All Saints maximise their potential through the use of our local grounds.
